Greetings, my name is Lee Taylor-Jack . I have spent most of my life on the Fylde coast and have been fortunate enough to call Layton my home since 2018.
As a small business owner, I have seen first-hand the struggles that our local economy has faced, particularly during the Covid pandemic and the current cost of living crisis. I know how important it is for businesses to protect the livelihoods of their staff and themselves.
In addition to my business experience, I have also been an active volunteer in our community. I have been involved with Blackpool Heritage Trams Tours since its inception, and I am proud to have been part of the team that received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (equivalent to MBE for volunteer groups) in 2020.
My commitment to our community extends beyond my business and volunteer work, and it is why I have decided to run as an Independent candidate for the Layton Ward local council elections.
As an Independent councillor, I believe that it is essential to act in the best interests of the residents of Layton, not the vested interests of a political party. If elected, I would be a free-thinking councillor who is not bound by party politics. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our community is thriving and that our residents have access to the resources they need to succeed.
Thank you for your time, and I hope to earn your support in the upcoming election.
